There are many ways that members can assist the farm.
- Volunteer some time to help with weeding, planting and harvesting.
- Recruit new members to help keep costs down.
- Post our farm information in your local stores, we will provide flyers, brochures
etc.
And of course we accept donations, we cannot make them tax deductible for you
but before you throw something out please ask us if it would be of use to us in our operation.
Some members have asked us for our "wish list" so here goes:
.
Tractor implements and accessories.
Hand tools: stirrup hoe, garden shears, trowels, maddocks, bird scare "flash-tape".
Greenhouse supplies: plastic plant tags, twine, greenhouse.
Organic Heirloom seeds, we are seed-saving .
Seed saving supplies.
As with all farms we get pretty dirty outside and clothes do not last long. We
will be having several volunteers help throughout the season and many of them come from out of state with few belongings so
if you have any T-shirts, jeans or hats to donate they would be most welcome.
Being a friend is about helping sustain organic farming practices in Howard County,
practices that do not harm the environment -- and do provide healthy, chemical-free foods. We
are proud to be Certified Organic here at Jasmine Farm.
